Re: Italian journalist says troops gave car no warning
[The US military has said the car in which Sgrena was riding was speeding and Americans used hand and arm signals, flashing white lights and warning shots to get it to stop at the roadblock.
But in an interview with Italian La 7 TV, Sgrena said, ''There was no bright light, no signal." She also said the car was traveling at ''regular speed."]
Ah....ah.... ah CH b**ls**t EW! Sorry, had to sneeze!
So, an anti-war (read any of her work lately? huh? have ya'?) reporter says a checkpoint ignored procedures and purposefully gunned her down knowing who they were from beginning about 500 out? The Soldiers never made any type of warning what-so-ever to stop a speeding vehicle headed toward them. Uh, OK! I'll buy that! NOT!!!
If you ever get the chance check out "Reporters at War" that is aired occasionally on Discovery Times. Throughout the program you will be regaled with at least two dozen instances of reporter's beliefs that they are targeted by our troops. From Nam to present day. Egos and paranoia! It's amazing how the world revolves around them and they are the center of the universe!
Like a Grunt's got time to even worry with them. Other than to try and keep them alive or keep them from getting someone else killed. Granted there are a few righteous reporters out there, even some that have saved our own guys' lives, but the vast majority are nothing more than bedwetters! This is a fine example. And no, I'm not jumping the gun on the investigation. The Grunts' operating procedures dictated what they did in that sitrep. Period! Simple solution: DO NOT haul boogey straight at an armed checkpoint! How dumb is that?
More of those sadistic bloody American youth killing unarmed journalists and specifically targeting Sgrena! Sgrena: A Legend In Her Own Mind! Aw geez!

In regard to the 12 year old sister of one of our heros, I would note that she would be receiving social security benefits as a minor who has lost both parents. I would also assume the brother would have listed his sister as a beneficiary on his life insurance.
