I am curious why everyone is so willing to say Georgia has lost. They have obviously taken a very bloody nose and certainly couldn't stand toe-to toe with the Ruskies, but it will be interesting to see what happens next. It is a possibility that the Russians have lost a sizable percentage of their armor and taken heavy casualties. Their incursion into Georgia relies on a very long supply line with attackable choke points. Imagine the Iraqi insurgents with high tech antitank missiles. Instead of 300 Spartans with spears, how about 300 Georgians with javelins?
The only way I see the Georgians losing is if the Euros sell them out for gas.

Thanks for the link. There was way too many conversations about whether Ossetia should be independent or not based on ethnicity or some other political discussions.
It had nothing to do with why Georgia wanted it or why Russia wanted it.
