I really do wish McCain would just leave Obama out of his commercials. Just stand on his own principles; his own record, good or bad its his and its what he needs to talk about.

It always makes the guy doing the bashing look petty. It doesn't how worthy he is, it doesn't matter how true the attacks are. McCain said he was not going to be playing attack ads. This is on the fence.

Martha, I have to respectfully disagree.

We are witnessing something I have not seen in my lifetime, not even with Clinton or Reagan ... a true Cult of Personality built around an otherwise-unsubstantial Presidential candidate, with his apparent blessing (no pun intended), cooperation, and participation ... aided and abetted by media that, in large part, are disciples of the Cult.

McCain is compelled to point all this out ... not as bashing, but in order to inform the public of the ground truth ... because those who are supposed to point out such arrogant displays of symbolism over substance, have drunk deeply from the Kult Kool-Aid barrel.

And in this nation, such condescension, arrogance, presumption ... and willingness to be perceived as demi-Diety ... are not compatible with the public trust invested in the power of the Presidency.

And those characteristics never have been compatible with that trust, all the way back to at least 4 July 1776.
