Wonderful Tonight
Greyhawk
Always start the weekend with a song, says I...
So here's another of the songs I recorded prior to deploying to Iraq.
Did a bit more (mostly expiremental) post-production with this one.
Encore, if you wish.
Wonderful Tonight (Eric Clapton)
It's late in the evening; she's wondering what clothes to wear.
She puts on her make-up and brushes her long blonde hair.
And then she asks me, "Do I look all right?"
And I say, "Yes, you look wonderful tonight."
We go to a party and everyone turns to see
This beautiful lady that's walking around with me.
And then she asks me, "Do you feel all right?"
And I say, "Yes, I feel wonderful tonight."
I feel wonderful because I see
The love light in your eyes.
And the wonder of it all
Is that you just don't realize how much I love you.
It's time to go home now and I've got an aching head,
So I give her the car keys and she helps me to bed.
And then I tell her, as I turn out the light,
I say, "My darling, you were wonderful tonight.
Oh my darling, you were wonderful tonight."

Skylark,
Thanks. I'm home now. I was there last year as a small part of "the surge". If you'd like to read something I actually wrote from over there I'd suggest this post.
I recorded a bunch of songs one afternoon before I left. (Mrs G doesn't approve of discussing my reason for that, so I'll skip that part.) I hadn't really planned it - just took a cheap web cam and mic and sat down and did it. Some of the resulting videos have been posted here "un-retouched", others I've tweaked with a bit of reverb or noise reduction. All were done one take, one track, no overdubs. The encore link above will take you to the others I've posted so far.
