And oh by the way, funds for the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, too.
Next: to the White House.
We've been tracking this one for a while now...
Awesome. Though I'm sure it didn't matter in this case, it's nice that some of my emails to Congressional leaders correlate to a good result for a change :) I of course pointed them over here for some expert opinion. heh.Posted by Lisa in DC at June 27, 2008 03:03 AM
It was nice to see Republicans and Democrats pass this bill. I thought both sides would scew it up in hopes of benefitting from blaming each other - but that 12% approval rating probably woke them up a little.Posted by Greyhawk at June 27, 2008 03:27 AM
And thanks to you for your efforts!!!Posted by Greyhawk at June 27, 2008 03:28 AM
I do think though, that this is a small sign of a return to something approaching normal. Partisan politics should end at the shores of the Atlantic and the Pacific, right? Yeah, well, so maybe that's a pipe dream, but treating our troops with respect and gratitude should be the norm. Anything else is just silly. And I'm with you: I can't wait until people like you and Mrs G start showing up in greater numbers on more college campuses across the country. That's worth a few recruiting challenges.Posted by Lisa in DC at June 27, 2008 03:45 AM Hide Comments | Show/Add Comments in Popup Window(4) | (Note: You must refresh main page to view newly posted comments here)
