Well, Greyhawk, you're going to have quite a few people to track down and ass-kick - including me - as I saw quite a few people nominate you for best military blog.
That said, I hope you will stick around after kicking my ass so I can shake your hand, thank you for your service and education you have given me through the years on your milblog and buy you a beer (or 12).
Seriously, Greyhawk, I can understand your opinion here. But I do hope you do realize how much of an effect you have had on us - especially ignorant civilians such as myself - in educating us about the military, deployment, military family life and just life in general. Mudville Gazette and Blackfive were the first two military blogs that I started reading back in 2003 or 2004 and my knowledge and respect for the military and military matters has just grown ever since. You, Mrs. Greyhawk and all who contribute to Milblogs have been a truly priceless experience for me.
Regarding the other milblogs, I don't think any is better than any other, you all simply provide your own take and experience and info regarding the military, military life, military history, etc. But, at the same time, these awards are basically popularity contests I think.
Anyway, I hope you know how much you are appreciated and those who have nominated you are just trying to find some way to thank you for all you and Mrs. Greyhawk have done and continue to do.

Greyhawk, I haven't had my ass kicked in a number of years, but having you (or Mrs GH) opening up a can of woopass on your truely would be one I would be boasting about for years to come!! You wouldn't have to look too hard to find me as I've been outside Walter Reed just about every Friday night since the first time you reported that 'CODE PhINK' was protesting our brave service members at the gate.
Know that you do not need any award to be considered 'top shelf' by most of us who visit for your frank, honest and informative postings.

GH, I'm just a "Grumpy Disabled Vet", pushing 60 yo. At a time when this Great Nation needs to come together, this is an act in ABSOLUTE DEFIANCE to the politicians, this is a good place to start.
I just want to say THANK YOU, for what you have contributed to the whole effort.
By the way, I AM NOT NOMINATING YOU FOR ANYTHING!
