I blogged about this today as well, there is so much more here. Guess who was an advisor for the Kerry-Edwards 2004 Campaign? One would think that this should have been footnoted in the article. Additionally, not one of the three people mentioned had anything to do with the Swiftboaters of 2004; Col. Day, a MOH recepient served in the AF, Sherwood was in the USMC and McManus, well, she is female (?) it was her husband who was also a POW in Vietnam and he was AF as well. So, if none of these people have a Navy connection - how can they be swifties?
Check out more lunancy from this piece in my post for today.
I e-mailed the editorial staff at the LA Times asking for a correction and that the online piece be footnoted regarding her Kerry-Edwards connnection.

Below is a message from Bud Day endorsing the rally for the troops and trying to protect the Vienam Memorial from being used as a backdrop for ANSWER, Code Pink, and Jane Fonda on March 17th.

"I support the G O E 100%. I believe it is an idea whose time has come, and which offers a splendid opportunity for the silent majority of Vietnam Vets to speak their piece concerning those who have denigrated our service, and blackened our names.
It is clear that those same anti-war activists that put the South Vietnamese into a state of defeat, prison, torture, and separation from their families are attempting to once again launch the United States into a defeat in the Middle East.
It is incumbent on every red blooded American to vigorously protest this “cut and run” strategy, and further besmirchment of the good name of the American warriors. Stand fast for freedom, for victory, and for the future of the world."
