Just a heads-up, here is the next story that will be an anti-military media-frenzy: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060531/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iraq_women_killed
The screaming headline: "US Troops Kill Pregnant Woman in Iraq"
Not until you read the story do you find out they fired on a car that was speeding toward a checkpoint.
*****
The U.S. military said coalition troops fired at a car after it entered a clearly marked prohibited area near an observation post but failed to stop despite repeated visual and auditory warnings.
"Shots were fired to disable the vehicle," the military said in a statement e-mailed to The Associated Press.
*****
Of course, then you have the words of the woman's brother to stoke the fire even more:
*****
""I was driving my car at full speed because I did not see any sign or warning from the Americans. It was not until they shot the two bullets that killed my sister and cousin that I stopped," he said. "God take revenge on the Americans and those who brought them here. They have no regard for our lives.""
*****
Just a heads up as this will be used along with Haditha to smear our troops even more.

Must read over at Michelle Malkin:
"HADITHA MARINE: INSURGENTS USE KIDS"
Those of us who follow all the facts of the war and are not blinded by anti-military, anti-America hatred already knew this, but, as Michelle notes, this is added perspective that needs to be added and which the media will most likely not tell the American public as they continue in their efforts to smear the military.

Michael in MI is correct, as I note on my blog, the AP reporter managed to tie Abu Ghraib, Haditha and todays accident together in a neat little package and use it to carpet bomb American troops.

I only have a MySpace blog as of yet, but I would like to link to the Rush Limbaugh transcript that I copied and pasted to my blog of the conversation he had with a caller, "from Tallil Air Force Base. Lieutenant Colonel Luke Fitzpatrick".
