John McCain recalls his youth:
"It's a pity there wasn't a blogosphere then. I would have felt much at home in the medium."He'd have been a milblogger, of course.
His leadup to that line suggests he considers himself much too old and wise for such endeavors today.
Haven't you read the blogosphere rules? The internet is like cell phones, iPods, and other newfangled stuff. It's only for people under 30.Posted by DRJ4 at May 14, 2006 05:11 PM
I think he meant in terms of his military service and having a blog to write about his time in the "Hanoi Hilton." It might have help alleviate his late nights spent up with Vietnam rattling through his head.
He also could have gobsmacked idiots like the "Vietnam Vets for Truth." They didn't do him any favours in 2000Posted by MJ Welch/PrairieWaif at May 15, 2006 04:55 AM
I think McCain is an arrogant man, and it's sad and disappointing to me.
He spent all that time as a POW yet he didn't learn much about freedom.Posted by Trevor at May 15, 2006 10:19 AM Hide Comments | Show/Add Comments in Popup Window(3) | (Note: You must refresh main page to view newly posted comments here)
