Greyhawk,
The Wynton Hall link goes somewhere bizarre. With a bit of doctoring it ends up at NRO

Fixed, thanks.

The ADA was such a hot-button issue years ago. Conservatives complained about damage to business if implimented. ADA has always been considered a liberal movment. Will conservatives now give the credit they deserve to liberals for the ADA? Does it take a war to see the need for ADA?

I grew up in Liberal New England. Busing was a great idea, when it was children in Charlotte spending 2 or 3 hours a day on buses, when it was children in Boston being bused, it was a bad idea.
ADA was a good idea, as long as it was being applied to hateful unscrupulous conservative corporations. As soon as a Beverly Hills(Hollywood) Corporation(Hilton) has to comply, it's a bad idea.

LOL Galt, the only result of the ADA in this matter was to FORCE the Hilton into a situation where they felt it was necessary to close a place that was providing a wonderful service to our brave solders.
Why would someone see this as somthing good about the ADA? Excessive regulatory requirements stifles service and progress.

Read Andi's World for an update on the Hilton. It was the local person, probably Kelleher, who made the decision himself. And he is in denial right now, running for cover and trying to rationalize his decision. As he admits, it was not corportate and corporate was not involved. His answers to questions put to him are evasive. He has no idea what a storm he has unleashed. I would bet that he ends up losing his job on this, but whether Fran O'Briens can be saved this late in the game is a long shot.
