An idea: given the large amount of time in your hands in the active duty sinecure you call a field grade para/line number, perhaps you could be the one to complie such a list.
www.icasualties.org and
www.defenselink.mil have all this info easily at hand - you could collate it.
The overwhelming majority of deaths over the last 18 mos. are KIAs.

IRR,
An idea. Think about the time zone Mudville is published in before you make stupid references to Greyhawk having so much time on his hands.
He's stationed in Germany, for the time being. Those of us who link and comment here regularly no doubt have long ago figured out that the reason Mrs. Greyhawk does the Dawn Patrol in the mornings is that Mr. G is off at work.
Greyhawk doesn't even start posting till the dinner hour or later, and his Open Post is often late evening to night-time before it comes out.
It continually amazes me what MILBLOGGERS accomplish with what little free time they have. We all owe them a debt of gratitude for the service they provide, not criticisms about what they should be doing to suit our prejudices.
Just. An idea.

Charting hostile and non-hostile is a good idea – and one we're working on. If you subtract the 553 non-hostile deaths coalition force fatalities are at 1,976 through March 2006. May 2003 had the highest monthly percent of non-hostile fatalities at 85.4% (35 of 41 fatalities). January 2005 had the highest number of non-hostile fatalities at 53.
I'm no longer active duty but all of us at GraphicLens stay pretty busy and are very grateful for all of our soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines.
