Hopefully this qualifies...
Smash reporting that the San Diego Protest Warriors actually got the Code Pink chapter to do something positive for people... several entries, the last of which is at http://www.indepundit.com/archive2/2005/09/the_katrina_cha_1.html

There are so many great posts on so many blogs it would take me hours to find ten of the best, but here are a couple I enjoyed:

I recommend, "God, Hope, and Johnny Cash" by Michael of "A Day In Iraq."

Alas, it appears he has since quit posting. But the post I linked to was one of the most personal and poignant things I read this year on a Milblog.

I continue to be rewarded in the writings by CPT Danjel Bout of the milblog 365 and a Wakeup. Each posting is memorable, for his ability to put you right there and see it through his eyes.
I continue to get readership on the story of Cpl Desmond Doss, which is aquite an amazing story of the Medic who won the MOH on Okinawa.
My personal best, has been the blogvel I began, yet have to admit, I haven't continued, is "Life in the Fat Ship Navy". This link is to the most recent segment, but you can get to the beginning from here.
My writings were inspired by the excellent "Rythyms" blogvel that Neptunus Lex "penned." Unfortunately, he doesn't make it easy to make it easy to move from one part of the series to the next, but it reads like Dale Brown or Tom Clancy stuff for precise, but anything but boring detail.
There's a multitudinous list of excellent stuff in the milblogs. Dawn Patrol is my first stop when I log on...and I can never get to the wealth of great writing it portrays.
I'll also say the willingness to share via the daily open posts here at Mudville have been a great boost to my blog. Thanks, GH team, for leading the way and connecting many, many dots for us out here.
And, thanks to my "blogfather," Matt @ Black Five, which got me thinking "maybe I can do that, too."
Merry Christmas, everyone, and thanks for all your comments and posts that let me see som much more of what's happening in the world.

I think the first time I ever sent a blog link to my non-blog-reading co-workers was the barbeque post by Capt. Ziegenfuss. That was the one that got me hooked on his writing. I've been rooting for him ever since. http://tcoverride.blogspot.com/2005/06/barbeque.html
And, of course, Tribes. http://www.ejectejecteject.com/archives/000129.html
