Interestingly enough, other than Iraq there's another region in not too far away containing a significant Muslim population. The U.S. led an invasion and occupation force there some years back, and the results have been different.

Check the posting from Oct. 19th. It shows what happens when an operation is planned and executed by competent leaders who don't engage in torture.

Well, I see that the wingnuts have endorsed al-Qaeda terrorism. You know, when they start with torture you never can tell where it will go. I wonder if so-called "milblogs" will object. My prediction: They won't object. See, the milblogs have nothing to do with patriotism. They are all about wingnut politics.

Once again, you broad-brush, Wilson.
Kosovo is an example of what you get with timely intervention ... intervening before the people of an aggressor nation lose the ability to force their leadership to change.
We didn't have that in Iraq, thanks to Leftists like you keeping us out for decades ... making the task much harder.
Also, Milosovec was a thug, and needed to be put down ... but he was a "conventional" thug, not the expansionist meglomaniac Saddam was, nor was he the supporter of trans-national Islamofascist terrorism Saddam was.
What direct threat did Serbia pose to our national security, anyway? And, where are your cries against the bombing of Serbian civilians? Your accusations of corruption of our Kosovo Liberation Army allies (who were not lily-white when it came to this conflict)? Your accusations of ineptitude for bombing the Chinese embassy? Hypocricy, thy name is Wilson.
The reason you consider this conflict as a good example ... is because (A)President Bush wasn't leading it and (B) there was no way anyone could see America directly benefiting from it ... so in your Leftist minds, it was a "safe" conflict to engage in.
Comparing what we faced in Kosovo to what we faced in Iraq is like comparing apples and oranges ... and only useful to one who seeks to discredit a President through obfuscation.

So, rich, as a wingnut, were you for or against the Kosovo intervention? What did you say at the time, when your fellow wingnuts were denouncing it and predicting disaster?
