The antiwar crowd is a disparate group, and doesn't really behave as a coherent group like the one from the sixties and seventies did, so grouping them into a block and ascribing the worst behavior of a few to the whole is pretty much what the complaint is about in the original post.
I don't think that Linde and her company brought honor on their service or nation, but I do believe that the chain of command failed miserably in its' handling of the situation. This didn't happen in a vacume and no spec initiated this on their own. If we require duty from the enlisted then the officers need to theirs as well, and take responsibility for their orders.
