What a sad day for all of us in Chuck's faithful readership. I think we're all shocked, saddened, but hopeful. His wife, Carren, has been keeping us up to date; and can any of you imagine having to type this down? The strength it's taking her to worry about all of the anonymous "us" out here is amazing.
For those of you who haven't read Cpt. Ziegenfuss' blog, make it a stop. He's insightful, hilarious, and just downright cool.
I can't believe how personally vested I had become in him, as a person, until we all noticed that he stopped posting a couple days ago. He's really that awesome that you can't help but love the guy.
Here's to a man that makes you PROUD TO BE AMERICAN. Get better Chuck and get home soon!

I'll second that, Chris. You nailed it with that Proud to be American quote - Chuck lives it, and the rest of us are fortunate he's got the gift to tell us about it in such a great way.

I am both saddened and elated by the update on Mr. Greyhawk and I admire your courage Mrs. Greyhawk. I pray for strength to both of you and a speedy recovery of your Husband.
I have recently saught out the various Milblogs and I am so very proud of our Troops and their accomplishments.
