Just heard your blog mentioned on an NPR piece about military bloggers! It was quite well done, although I did find this amusing:
They had an interview with a military blogger who was asked to shut down his blog and now has a book deal. Just another soldier? He said that, in his opinion (paraphrasing as I remember it, hopefully the audio will go up on the NPR site in a few days) most of the military blogs that are allowed are 'insipid'. He sounded quite dismissive that such sites were mentioning handing out candy to kids and things like that. I dunno. I kind of like those posts. But then, I suppose I'll have to buy his book to know how things really are.
Hmm, I wouldn't call this site insipid. Insightful is more like it. To be fair, the blogger being interviewed didn't mention this site specifically :)

Thanks to Mudville Gazette's Open Posts Mythusmage Opines got 220 visitors for the month of April. About a 7th of the total. My thanks to all who dropped by, and I hope you can come visit again.
And for those wondering if posting a trackback to an MGOP is worth it, it's worth it to me. And if a small time eclectic blogger like moi finds value in it, so could you.
