Despite the best efforts of men and women like Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, Howard Dean, Michael Moore, Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, Al-Zarqawi and Osama Bin Laden; the Iraqi people voted. What a historic day for all freedom loving people.
God is great!

Heh - "George Soros' bitch" - I like that :-)
You'd think for $26mil he'd have kicked the tires a bit better, wouldn't you!!

This post is really offensive - especially given the usual even-handedness of the blog. George Soros worked for a couple of decades (contributing far more of his personal fortune than he did to the Media Matters folks) in Eastern Europe to forward the principles of open society and democratic principles during the post-Cold War years. He's a genuine supporter of democratic principles -- who just happened to believe that the intentions of the Bush administration would ultimately do more to undermine those principles than it would to forward them. You may hate the political party he supported in the recent U.S. election, but it's another incidence of cognitive dissonance to propose that he's "the enemy" of what your blog professes to support.

Robin
I missed where I called him an enemy of anything, and as for the Democratic party I like many others am concerned about it's future, but certainly don't hate it. I'd really prefer to see a loyal opposition to any administration. But the bottom line in my opinion is that European billionaires controlling American elections just doesn't seem like something to cheer about.
