Sounds like envy to me: the Spanish, who showed yellow after the terror attacks in their own country, can't stand that the Iraqis are showing real guts in standing up to the terrorists and going to the polls despite bombings, beheadings, and shootings.

I thought that was odd too, that the Spaniards were thrilled that their own democracy worked and got them out of Iraq, but they denounced democracy elsewhere.

The irony of protesting against freedom is never apparent to the protestors.

Does it surprise anyone that the Spanish badmouth the Iraq election? The socialists in Europe see any attempt at real Democracy a threat to themselves. They shake in their boots at the thought of free people actually governing themselves, unlike the cradel to the grave oversight their masters hold over them. Three cheers to the brave Iraqis who voted with their feet to lift the bond of terror they have been yolked with for so long.
