Sometimes I'm glad for a faulty memory, like one that lets me forget how obvious was the the lack of cheering by most of the media to the news of Saddam's capture. And how that oft repeated phrase, "...since President Bush declared an end to major combat operations.", always came after the latest body count figure spoken with a lack of sincerity even a child could detect.

No. Definitely we don't want him starving to death. People who stop eating lose their appetites, their feeling of hunger, within a few days.
That's nowhere near enough suffering.
