We have reason to congratulate ourselves for remaining the bastion of democracy. We turned out record numbers on both sides.

But we have not sought the escapism from the real world of the ever increasingly socialist trends in the E.U. Western Europe, where the ancestry of many Americans (but not all by any means) looks now at Europe with the same feelings as our ancestors to immigrated from Europe to find and make a better life.

You are getting even older, Europe, and we thank our forebearers. whether kicked out of Europe for long time reasons of hatred or others reasons, or who left the old world for other reasons, for making our country what it is today.

We should in many ways look to the more recent immigrants from Vietnam, Mexico, Honduras, the Middle East, China, and every corner of the world who have shown a similar spirit.

We are a diverse society which in many ways contains all the rejects and misfits from all over the world...... in their opinion. We have seen how strong we can be and work to accomodate all in our diverse society. It hasn't always happened quickly. And problems have always ffaced each wave of immigrants.

But reflect on the fact that each group, through their work ethic and strong determination have been successful. Our spirits and our goals have remained the same.

We rejects, discards, and outcasts from all over the world, a reluctant super power made up of people who long rejected even participating in world affairs prior to WWII because we didn't want to get involved in the muddle and stupidity of the old world, eventually forced us in a direction we did not want to go.

But we've shown our honesty, honor and concern for how we rebuilt Europe after that war and have been honest in our efforts to contribute to world peace. The "thanks" we did from the old world could not be better exemplified by the attacks of the Guardian. Begone you who are soft and misguided in your ways. Adopt our work ethic and our honest concerns. We never had the colonies you had and lost, one being our own, because we could not bear the continued oppression from the old world which reached out and tried to control our indiviudism and spirit to be free.
