By our God, whose way is perfect, yet who taught the hands of David to make war; may His Word be your strength and buckler and Himself, your Rock, as you run through troops and leap over walls.
May your feet too, be as the feet of the hind who leads her young in the rocky places, that those in your charge may follow safely in your steps to what high places it will fall to you to lead them
And in the end, as with David, may your greatness result from the gentleness of God and not the approbation of men.

Once more, into the breech my friend.

I will be the kind of American that you would consider WORTH protecting.

Stay safe and come home soon to those who love you. Thank you for your service to our country and to those who have no idea of freedom. I will be praying for you.
If you would like to send your address to us at KeystoneSoldiers.com we will make sure you have mail and some to share with those who don't get any. Care packages will be sent also.

Be sharp your eyes,
Be true your aim,
Be strong your arms,
Be steadfast your faith.
May your strikes be bold, swift, sure, and devestating. May you and your mates show the innocents you go to free and those you leave behind yet under your aegis the best that is American and show those who would do us all harm the worst.
And may you be victorious and return home in safety soon. Our thoughts and prayers go with you...

I was searching for the words to tell you how much I appreciate what you and all our armed forces are doing to protect us when I came across this post from The Big Trunk at powerlineblog.com : http://powerlineblog.com/archives/007933.php
Ray Charles' version of "America the Beautiful" starts with the third verse;
O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife,
Who more than self the country loved
And mercy more than life!
America! America!
May God thy gold refine
Till all success
Be nobleness
And every gain divine!
Godspeed and be safe.

"My religious belief teaches me to feel as safe in battle as in bed. God has fixed the time for my death. I do not concern myself about that, but to always be ready, no matter when it may overtake me."
- Thomas J "Stonewall" Jackson
America has no north, no south, no east, no west. The sun rises over the hills and sets over the mountains, the compass just points up and down, and we can laugh now at the absurd notion of there being a north and a south. We are one and undivided.

It's a rare day when my daughter and I agree about anything remotely political; I started blogging as a way to argue with her politely about things she says in her blog. Today the first item in her blog starts off:
I am sitting here at work, crying and hoping I can stop before a call comes in. As much as a chicken and a pacifist as I am, I am moved beyond words by the bravery exhibited by those who are willing to leave their families behind to go and fight for what they believe in. Please, no matter what you think about the war, please honor and support these courageous men and women.
From The Mudville Gazette:
Heather, you just made your daddy proud.

Dear Greyhawk,
I have known you were called up, but now that the day has come-I don't know what to say. Thank you? It seems so empty. I will pray for your family and you? I will, but that seems so small. I am grateful to each and every one of you who makes the decision to protect us. I just wish there was more that I could do. I will miss you. I hope you get that laptop! That would be great! The post that you wrote was beautiful. You stay in His care, and Godspeed.

Grey,
May God bless you and keep you always. Psalm 91: 5-8
"You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, not the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked."
Thank you for your service. You are helping to keep freedom for your little ones.
