I AM PANICING!!!! How will I know what is REALLY going on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very strange. I noticed those also as I logged in, or tried to log into, my daily reads.

Don't panic on my account. That was voluntary. If you check the front page of ASV you can see where to find me now.

But I do worry about Sgt. Hook.

I think CB was tired of the exposure. He pulled the NPR post on his own, so I don't think it was his command pulling his blog; I think he made that decision.

I'm worried about Sgt Hook, too.

This probably has nothing to do with Sgt. Hook's blog missing, but I recall he mentioned in a very recent post that'd he'd be tied up on a mission for a few days and therefore out of touch, as in not posting. I haven't tried to go to Operation Shoe Fly. Does any one know if it's still up?

At first I thought it was just me, but it doesn't make me feel better to know that SGT Hook is MIA for everyone!
He did warn us he would not be posting - but that doesn't explain why his site would be inaccessible.

Sgt. Hook is back up. He mentions that his last entry has gone missing and he isn't sure what happened to it. Censored or hacked, who knows. He'll try to figure it out after his next mission when he has the time.
I think CB closed his blog on his own. He was getting alot of nasty emails, worried about his command, comments were getting out of control, there were alot of reasons I think.
He will really be missed in blogland.

perhaps CBFTW just got to the point that his personal diary became an obligation, and no doubt a source of heaping loads of email (from his posts, I sense that he got a lot of critical emails in addition to all the positive ones). On top of that he's paying for Internet access out of his own pocket. It could just be that maintaining the blog turned out to be a pita once it started to get so much exposure. At any rate, he's a talented writer and I hope you keeps up his writing.

You missed pointing out that not only are the archives gone, but he changed the title from "My war" to "Over and Out".

Yeah, Hook is back up. I couldn't get to his place this morning either, commented at Castle Arrggghhh about that then wham, he's back up. I felt kinda stupid panicing like that, but I think we're all getting a bit jumpy on this type of thing right now.

It'll be very interesting to see how this whole thing pans out.

Several of the Blogspot sites have been up and down repeatedly the last couple of days. And it depends on your browser.

Hook's command is supportive. It was probably a web host issue.

Don't panic. Hook said yesterday he would be offline for awhile.

The NPR post on Sgt Hook was gone yesterday morning. That is when Hook posted the current one.

At CB's first the NPR post disappeared and some of the comments in previous post. Then the site was down. Then its up with a plea for readers not to put info back on the site that he deleted. Then today its gone. Then its up and he says he's gone.

The reason..NPR and readers were putting him,his unit and is family in danger by publishing his full name, where he's from, his unit ID, and his commanders name. Shame on all involved.

BTW someone at Sgt Hook mentioned a hacking contest between some military and non military colleges. Could that be the cause of some of these disappearances?

what has your comment have to do with what greyhawk's post is about. It's fine and dandy that you don't like Kerry, most of us here don't, but don't suck up bandwidth with unrelated comments, then try to promote your own blog using greyhawks success. you're as much of an opportunist as Kerry.
