And here I was thinking it was going to be a nice quiet evening. Hmmm - hope the neighbors are gone, hate to scare them with my yelling!
Thanks for the tip. Can't wait to see what kind of reaction this'll get.

There must be a lot of Vietnam vets still in uniform, some at very high levels of command.
*If* Kerry wins the election, might this concept of "Unfit for Command" affect his credibility in the eyes of the military? I know any professional soldier or sailor would carry out their duties regardless of who is the commander in chief...but I just wonder if this type of character assasination might affect peoples performance or enthusiasm in subtle or overt ways.

Natz you're just not getting it. The military (individuals, not the institution) has known this guy for years, and is just now informing the civilian populace. No "character assassination" is at work - there's no news here for mil folks. You've got it backwards. It's revelation, not assassination. Stuff like this gets passed down from generation to generation, believe me.
It ain't about Bush, Natz. It never was. That's a line you've swallowed from the Kerry camp or the media. Wake up.

Ol Sarge, I am not a fish. I'm a skeptic and I don't swallow anybody's story hook, line, and sinker.
But do you understand the concept of character assassination?
Here's another example: Liberals impugn President Bush's character, suggesting he's unfit for command, because he ducked out of the National Guard duty, and was a drunken, coke sniffing partier for much of his adult life. Look, I don't know if it's true, but it's been written.
I keep seeing people say things like you, i.e. Kerry's a rat, and everyone in the mil knows it. If this guy becomes their commander, does this affect their performance?
There is no repository of perfect human beings with unblemished records who can be leaders of this great country.
